Just because it’s winter doesn’t mean one cannot enjoy white wine. (White shoes however, are an altogether different topic.)

SPIRE is pleased to host Winter Whites on Thursday, January 12 from 6-8 pm.

Join Westword’s @swirlgirldenver / sommelier and chef Kendra Anderson as she guides an interactive experience featuring five of the hottest white wine varieties, perfectly paired with five snacks from Row 14’s chef Jensen D. Cummings.

Perfect for the novice and aficionado alike, you’ll be amazed at how ideal white wines are for drinking even during snowy months.

This event takes place above the city lights on the 10th floor of the SPIRE residences. Please check in at Row 14.

Village Bicycle Bike Swap

With temperatures consistantly making their way up the Spring ladder, there’s no better time to take advantage of the Bicycle Village Bike Swap. Tomorrow, Saturday the 16, is the first of 5 Bike Swaps Bicylce Village will be conducting in and arround Denver this Spring. For the past week, Bike Village in Aurora has been taking on consignment bikes to safety-check, tune-up and ready to turn around. Tomorrow is the turn around day. Tuned-up bikes will be selling on the cheap from 9:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. tomorrow night.

Can’t make tomorrow’s swap? No need to worry, next up is the Colorado Spring’s Bike Swap running April 25 – April 29. May’s line-up inlcludes swaps in Boulder, Littleton and Wetminster. You can see the full schedule on Village Bicycles website at http://bicyclevillage.com/.

Are you a bit of a fashionista or an undercover fashionista? You should definitely check out the 1^st Annual Style Expo at the Denver Merchandise Mart this weekend. If you want to be on the cutting edge of fashion, make-up, hair, modeling, and boutique styles you will not want to miss this event. The event is put on by our local event diva Dana Cain. If you are not familiar with Dana herself, you may have attended some her past events, which were some of the best parties we hit last year. Some of Dana’s past events include: Art District Best of ‘09 & ’10, Andy Warhol Birthday party, and the Antique Row Summer Festival just name a few of our favorites. HOMEOWNER OPEN HOUSE

The SPIRE Open House was held on July 17, 2009 for all current reservation holders and their guests. It was the first chance for everyone attending to see the amenity floors (9, 10 and 42), browse the completed homes on the 30th Floor and have a drink while watching the sunset in the SkyClub (Floor 42). The weather was beautiful, food was fabulous and drinks were plentiful….all in all a successful evening. If you weren’t able to attend, stay tuned – we will be hosting another Open House!
