Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow…

Beautiful SnowTake a look outside your window. The snow is beautiful. Downtown Denver looks like a winter wonderland. It’s our first big snowfall of the season and if you live downtown it’s a magical time of year as well.

Now I know that many folks are less than pleased with this winter wonderland. The roads are crowded and slow. Commuting is a pain. After a stressful drive home the idea of going out to dinner or for groceries may be less than appealing.

Unless you call downtown home.

One of the many benefits to life downtown is freedom from your car. Walk to work and stop at your favorite warm and cozy coffee shop on your walk. Jump on the light rail (just steps away from SPIRE) and read the paper while you enjoy your coffee. Smile.

After work meet friends or that special someone at your favorite bistro. Order a warm cup of tea or your favorite beverage and enjoy your conversation. Don’t forget to look out the window at the beautiful scenery Mother Nature is painting. Smile again. You’re not sitting in your car, in traffic, in a snowstorm. You are enjoying the snow from any one of the hundreds of warm and cozy locations downtown.

It’s the SPIRE lifestyle of living downtown. Located in the heart of downtown Denver SPIRE homeowners will be able to select from hundreds of wonderful restaurants, pubs, theaters, and events just footsteps from their front door.

Those feeling active in the snow or craving some fun before dinner might be seen cross country skiing or snowshoeing through our city. Such is the wonder of life downtown.

All of us at SPIRE are hoping you enjoy Denver’s first big snow of the season. To learn more about urban living at SPIRE please free to give us a call at 720-457-7550 or visit our sales center at 890 14th Street, Denver CO 80202.

In the meantime stay warm, stay safe, and enjoy your evening.

Restaurant Review – XO Noodle Bar

XO has finally arrived  much to our content. Although fairly difficult to find at first (through the back alley or directed through the front entrance of the JET hotel by a host/hostess) we were pleasantly surprised. The interior has a sleek, modern, Asian look with great materials and plants at every table bringing on a very clean, laid back atmosphere to have a meal.

The menu is divided into three separate categories providing a good variety of plates. In addition to the menu there is a lunch special of several plates for a smaller price ($8). The first category, ramen bowls, includes duck, beef, seafood and vegetables. The rice dishes include similar options. The “exotic bowls” are just that, “exotic” and very unique meals with an array of meats, vegetables, soups, and flavors in every bowl. Furthermore three sauces are provided to each table ranging from an Asian version of salt and pepper to a spicy chili sauce to mix into the noodles providing and extra kick to any dish. Each bowl provides more than your money’s worth in both taste and amount.

The meal, service, and atmosphere were exquisite. If you enjoy a good bowl of noodles or rice and don’t mind spending $10-$15, XO behind the JET hotel comes highly recommended.   www.xo-noodlebar.com
