Denver Arts Week

Denver Arts Week is a full nine days of visual arts, theater, music, film, museums, dance, opera comedy, history and heritage! Whether you are a fan of the opera or enjoy a quiet contemplation over an outlandish abstract, this event is for you. Local galleries and art houses will present exhibitions and performances throughout the week, plus there will be opportunities to meet fellow art patrons and learn about art in a whole new way.

One of the best parts of Denver Arts Week is the restaurant deals. Just mentioning ‘Denver Arts Week’ can get you a 3-course meal for two at Chloe (1445 Market St., Downtown Denver) for only $52.80 or a free bottle of Hot House Sake with a dinner entrée or two of your favorite sushi rolls at Sushi Yoshi (406 Center Dr., Superior, CO). Check out the Restaurant Deals page to see several other delicious offers. Also, check out the ARTdeals page for amazing discounts on things like art classes, tickets, and museum memberships.

TEDx Mile High

The Spire is proud to announce such an amazing event going on here in the Mile High City, TEDx Mile High! This is an event you do not want to miss. Denver brings in some of the most creative minds, thought leaders, and innovators to educate, inspire, and stimulate change here in the Mile High City.

TEDx In the spirit of “ideas worth spreading,” TED has created TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxMileHigh, where x = independently organized TED event. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group.  The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including Mile High TEDx, are self-organized.

Started as a four-day conference in California 26 years ago, TED has grown to support those world-changing ideas with multiple initiatives. At TED, the world’s leading thinkers and doers are asked to give the talk of their lives in 18 minutes. Talks are then made available, free, at TED.com. TED speakers have included Bill Gates, Jane Goodall, Elizabeth Gilbert, Sir Richard Branson, Benoit Mandelbrot, Philippe Starck, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Isabel Allende and former UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown. Two major TED events are held each year: The TED Conference takes place every spring in Long Beach, California (along with a parallel conference, TEDActive, in Palm Springs), and TEDGlobal is held each summer in Edinburgh, Scotland.

Colorado is a relocation favorite… and we all know why

We all know that Colorado is a wonderful state.   Many of us relocated from another state to enjoy Colorado’s incredible weather, the beautiful mountains in our backyard, and of course the incredible city of Denver.

So it came as no surprise to read in the Denver Post that Colorado trails only Texas as a relocation destination, according to a report released Monday by Allied Van Lines.

Here is a quick blurb from today’s Denver Post article…

Analysts cited Colorado’s quality of life and relatively low unemployment rate as reasons that more people are moving to the state than are moving out.

We also thought this was a nice quote about the great entrepreneurial spirit in our state…

“Colorado has a very entrepreneurial atmosphere that attracts the interest of out-of-state corporations looking to move facilities into our state to take advantage of the great workforce, the lifestyle desirability and the business-friendly atmosphere,”

With so many great and creative businesses in our neighborhood, we know this spirit is booming.  Many such businesses will be opening their doors right at the base of SPIRE.

SPIRE, located in the heart of Downtown Denver and the theater district has become home to many of these new Colorado residents.  With a terrific location and amenities such as two pools, two hot tubs, fitness center, private theater room, sports zone, 24 hour front desk, and multiple lounges it’s a great way to enjoy the Colorado and Downtown Denver lifestyle.

To learn more about SPIRE or relocating to the Denver area,  please contact the SPIRE sales center at 720-457-7550.
