Here at the Spire we strive to talk the sustainable talk and walk the sustainable walk. We are excited to announce the Whole Planet Party tomorrow night March 25, 2011 at Bar Standard here in Denver. All of the benefits from the concert will be donated to the Whole Planet Foundation. The Whole Planet Foundation‘s mission is to create economic partnerships with the poor in those developing-world communities that supply our stores with product. Through innovative assistance for entrepreneurship – including direct microcredit loans and tangible support for other community partnership projects – we seek to unleash the energy and creativity of every human being we work with in order to create wealth and prosperity in emerging economies. Congratulations to Kim Fredericksen! A couple weeks ago we posted on our Facebook wall a challenge for everyone to give us the best reason why they felt like they deserved a free Elixir signature massage. After Kim posted her reason it seems no one else could top it. Here is what Kim posted to us.

I’m a doctor working in Haiti and I’ve been sleeping in rooms with rats and tarantulas and trying to avoid cholera and malaria. This was volunteer work and my feet are stinking. If all goes okay at the airport Monday in Port Au prince. I will be back finally Tuesday.

Congratulations and thank you for all the great submissions!  We love the fact that so many SPIRE residents got to enjoy the great fireworks display and the beautiful views of the city from the comfort of their own home. It was a chilly snowy night and we are glad to hear SPIRE residents got to stay cozy and warm while taking in the New Year Fireworks splendor!

Mmmmmmmmm… some nights nothing sounds better than a fresh delicious pizza.

It is truly one of the simplest pleasures.  Perhaps its the convenience of having a pizza delivered on a cold snowy night or the freedom to relax over dinner after a long day at work without the worry of cooking, or cleaning, or dressing up to go out.  Sometimes our best dinners are shared with friends while watching our favorite team in the big game or curling up on the couch with a great movie.

We wanted to thank all of our homeowners and celebrate our 200th residence milestone.   Of our 493 SPIRE residences, we now have more than 200 sold and every week the building has new faces.

Thanks to everyone who has contributed to SPIRE and who helped to make it a terrific summer.  And it was a very busy summer.  Our sales team has done a terrific job and they have certainly been kept busy with the high number of visitors who have come to see the SPIRE building and SPIRE’s many amenities.

We also want to give a huge “thank-you” to all the members of the SPIRE team on-site.  The building leaped to life this year due to the incredible efforts of our many front desk, maintenance, and building services personnel.  It’s no small effort to keep two pools, two spas, one fitness facility, one multi media room, one sports lounge and multiple indoor and outdoor lounge areas in perfect condition for our residents.  SPIRE has quickly grown into 200 residences strong and this team has been incredible in welcoming each resident and helping them to enjoy their new Downtown Denver lifestyle.

And our last thank you goes out to each and every one of our new homeowners.  They are the ones who make SPIRE complete and fill it with their energy, their laughter, and their lives.  We have had the opportunity to meet many amazing and wonderful people at our first few homeowner events and we look forward to several more.

As we shift from Summer into Fall we wish everyone the best of all seasons.  We will keep our pools warm for you and as you pick up your ski passes, we hope you look forward to an apres-ski dip in either of our two spas.  Plan your ski conditioning routine for the fitness center and when the weather gets ugly, just invite some friends over and enjoy a movie in the multi media room.   Enjoy your SPIRE lifestyle.
